About us

The survey on innovative museum exhibits has been realized within the Service III of the General Directorate of Antiquities of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture.

It began in 2006 and was initially directed in range of Italian archaeological museums, with the aim to extend it to all other kinds of museums, territorial museum systems and international museum experiences. Since April 2015, the editorial staff of website is organized by the General Directorate  Museums and the research will be extended to international museums.

The research is coordinated by the architect Maurizio Noè, working at Ministry of Heritage and Culture and of Tourism (Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali e del Turismo), General Division of Museums (Direzione Generale Musei), Service, II, Centro Progetti Museali, with the collaboration of:

Dr Tiziana Morana, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, during Backdrop, working at the Ministry of Heritage and Culture, General Division of Museums (Direzione Generale Musei), Service, II, Centro Progetti Museali;

Mr. Roberto Serangeli, preparing for a degree in Engineering at the Univeristy of Rome La Sapienza, with thesis in Technical Architecture - design museum, working at the Ministry of Heritage and Culture, General Division of Museums (Direzione Generale Musei), Service, II, Centro Progetti Museali.

Freelancers :

Dr. Anna Maria Bertelè graduated in Conservation of Cultural Heritage at the University of Bologna, specializing in "Restoration of Monuments" at the School of Specialization in Restoration of Monuments "La Sapienza" - University of Rome and doctor research in "History of Architecture and Restoration" ("La Sapienza", Rome);

Dr. Ilaria Melillo graduated in Conservation of Cultural Heritage at the Second University of Naples and graduated with master level 2 in Musealization, protection and enhancement of the archaeological heritage at the University of Rome (Tor Vergata) ;

Dr. Carlo Molle, graduated in in Ancient Literature  and  Archeology at the University of Rome (La Sapienza), specializing in Classical Archaeology at the University of Rome (La Sapienza) and and doctor research in Ancient History and Classical Archaeology at the 'University of Macerata and actually archaeologist at Soprintendenza Archeologica del Lazio ed Etruria Meridionale.
